Don McClintock

Mr McClintock has created the website www.cityethics.org as the basis for City Ethics Inc. - a non-profit established with the goal of making it easier to establish effective ethics programs in Cities and Counties Internationally.
Mr. McClintock has a distinguished volunteer commitment in the international ethics and anti-corruption community and served on the Ethics Commission for the City of Jacksonville, FL. He is currently the IT Director for CityEthics, an international non-profit devoted to the establishment of government ethics programs. Mr. McClintock has also served at the request of the Mayor of Jacksonville as a commissioner on the City's International Development Commission (2001-2003) prior to his appointment to the City's Ethics Commission. In November of 2007, when his wife, Carla Miller was formally appointed as Ethics Officer for the City of Jacksonville, he stepped down from his role on the Ethics Commission. During his tenure on the Commission, he spear-headed several reforms to the city's ethics legislation.
ETHICS ACTIVITIES
Mr. McClintock has worked as a volunteer in the following areas:
- establishment of youth character education programs in several mid-east countries, including Iraq.
- taught at the Markkula Center for Ethics [at Santa Clara University] on "Technology and Ethics" at the "Ethics Camp"
- In his role with City Ethics, Don has attended many conferences on anti-corruption and ethics, including 3 Transparency International Conferences, in Guatemala City [November 2006], Athens, Greece [October 2008] & Panama City [December 2016]
- Don has worked alongside Carla on presentations to many different groups, including Kazakhstan & China as a part of the DCID [Duke Center for International Development]
- During Carla's Network Fellowship, Don attended as many events and presentations as possible at Harvard's Safra Center for Ethics. (2013 - 215) See Carla's Bio for more on this.
OVERVIEW
Don has worked in telecommunications and data networking since the early 1980s. Most recently he has specialized in Network Security related roles, managing enterprise software tools that provide event & alert information in the security perimeter for large (fortune 100) organizations.
